To enhance the precision and promptness of online oil spill monitoring and alerts on offshore oil platforms, and to effectively avert and address oil spill incidents, a novel online monitoring and alerting methodology for oil spills on offshore platforms was introduced, utilizing internet of things (IoT) technology. Initially, leveraging IoT technology, the dynamic fluctuations of oceanic platforms and any potential indicators of oil spills are monitored in real-time. Subsequently, the volume of oil spills is appraised based on the monitoring outcomes. Subsequently, after assessing the oil spill risk, warning levels are established, and corresponding response strategies are formulated. The results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves an oil spill warning accuracy exceeding 99%, characterized by high reliability and efficacy, enabling more precise monitoring and warning of potential oil spill risks on offshore platforms. |
