| Green buildings are those buildings which can, during its life cycle, save resources such as energy, land, water and materials to the maximum extent. They are environment-friendly, help to reduce pollutant emissions, provide healthy, suitable and high-performance spaces for people to use, and coexist in harmony with nature. In order to guide green building development, many countries have developed guiding principles and appropriate standards for green buildings. Based on a brief introduction to U.S. and China evaluation standards for green buildings, a comparative analysis of water efficiency for China green building rating systems and U.S. LEED was carried out in this paper. Moreover, appropriate standards for China green-building water efficiency were suggested to support green building development in China. |
