| Using FLUENT, a numerical simulation of the cold flow in the stagnation-plate burner was carried out with the standard k-εmodel, RNG k-ε model and the model of Abe-Kondoh-Nagano (AKN model). The results were then compared with experimental data. It is indicated that the simulation results from RNG k-ε model and AKN model are in better agreement with the experimental data. Moreover, the RNG k-ε model and AKN model were used to simulate the premixed combustion of the stagnation-plate burner. By comparison with the experimental data, the numerical predictive abilities of the two turbulence models on premixed combustion of the stagnation-plate burner were assessed. |
