| The use of direct air-cooled condenser units can save water significantly, but there exist some problems in operation, e.g. a high backpressure with a large variation during operation of the steam turbine. In addition, the cooling behaviour of a direct air-cooled condenser is greatly affected by the environment, e.g. the wind and suspended dust in the air, and the condenser is easy to freeze when it operates in winter. The amount of dissolved oxygen in condensate water exceeds the limit set by the standard, and thermal pollution problem can not be neglected. The problems mentioned above were analyzed in this paper, and countermeasures were suggested. |
