| The types, history, mechanisms, characteristics and examples for application of controlled release disinfectants with silver ions for drinking water were presented in this paper. The application of this technology for waste water treatment and drinking water purification was discussed, and thecontrolled release disinfectant with silver ions has proved to have an advantage over other disinfectants. Prospects of the controlled release disinfection technology with silver ions were predicted, and the economy and possibility of application of this technology was pointed out. |
