| The definition, classification, selection and standards of utilization of substitutive fuels for internal combustion engines were presented and explained in this paper. The development and status quo of application of the substitutive fuels in China and overseas were reviewed and summarized. It is concluded that the substitutive fuel is one of the most important fields of energy research and utilization in the future due to increasingly shortfall of oil resources. |
