| The market development of gas-driven central air-conditioning depends on following factors: local climatic conditions, demand in society, supply of electricity and gas, technical and economical conditions. In this work, the first two factors were discussed in detail. The lengths of annual heating and cooling periods are almost equal due to the local climatic conditions in Shanghai and nearby areas, which opens up possibilities for the use of a direct-fired heating/cooling set as the gas-driven central air-conditioning unit. The rapid increase in floor space of common buildings in Shanghai and nearby areas offers a wide market for the central air-conditioning. The estimated annual increase in capacity will come up to 6.0105 kW. |
