英文摘要:
      The method of entropy generation analysis has been used for investigations on many problems of heat transfer and fluid flow in heat exchangers, e.g. on different flow patterns, on different flow channels, on enhancement surfaces, and on optimization of geometric parameters. In this paper, an analysis of fluid flow across tube banks of different type was carried out using the second law of thermodynamics. On the basis of the entropy generation analysis, a numerical investigation on staggered and in-line tube banks with different geometric parameters was conducted. As a result, the dependence of the rate of entropy generation on Reynolds number of fluid flow was acquired, and the thermodynamic performance of those tube banks was compared. The results of this work will be of benefit to the optimizing design of cross-flow tube banks.
