| In recent years, ice thermal storage technology and its application in HVAC in commercial building has been paid more attention due to it(s ability in shifting peak load for electrically driven refrigerators. Thermal storage with water-ice solid-liquid phase change belongs in those processes with fixed phase change temperature, and can realized high-density storage in a limited space. The purpose of this paper focused mainly on the experimental research on the mechanism of the ice-storage processes on the external surface of the coil in the ice storage tank. The dependence of the change rates of the ice inventory and the initial temperature of the cooling water on time was also studied. |
