| Aiming at the characteristics of a cooling centrifugal fan, a numerical investigation on the internal flow flied at the designed point of the fan was carried out using the CFD method. As a result, the important features of the flow inside the fan were shown. At the same time, we also discussed the problems in relation to grid construction for the numerical simulation. Based on the numerical results, the important flow characteristics inside the fan were represented using velocity and total-pressure nephograms at different cross-sections, which give support to the optimization of fan design. |
